There are hundreds of thousands of zoos worldwide; most of them can use digital signage instead of static posters or bulletins, for animal information. However, zoos need special devices that need to be Full IP65 for water-proof and dust-free, customized mounting stand, excellent viewing angle of LCD for visitors from 4’ to 6’ height, safety and vandal-proof glass, and easy-to-use software for zoo staff to easily maintain attractive signage content. Winmate worked very closely with Taipei Zoo and provided them unique Full IP65 Zoo Signage.

The rugged and small form factor Digital Signage Network Player is able to play MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 multimedia files from Standard Definition (SD) up to High Definition (Multi HD) quality, as well as pictures and scrolling messages.

Key points for this solution are mainly the Full IP65 mechanical design with very high reliability, the long lifetime of this product andthe support of installation that allows Taipei Zoo to implement the Player Management in their own application within a month.
